South Euclid Book Club | Memorial Day 2026
Happy Memorial Day, friends!
Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for this country. Their courage, their sacrifice, and their love for something greater than themselves is the reason we get to enjoy the freedom and beauty of days like today. We are deeply grateful.
Memorial Day weekend is one of those rare gifts — an extra day to slow down, soak up the sunshine, and just be together with the people you love most. Whether you're headed to a backyard barbecue, splashing around at the park, or simply enjoying a quiet morning at home — we hope every single moment is wonderful.
And hey — if you're looking for the perfect way to wind down the day with your little one, you already know what we're going to say.
Grab a book. Find a cozy spot. Read together.
Because some of the very best holiday memories aren't made at big parties or fancy outings — they're made in the quiet moments. The ones where your toddler is curled up in your lap, pointing at pictures and asking a million questions, and you realize this is exactly where you want to be.
That's the good stuff. That's what it's all about.
A Few Ideas for Your Weekend
Not sure how to fill the long weekend? Here are a few simple, fun ideas for families with little ones:
Head outside. Pasadena is beautiful this time of year — a park picnic, a short hike at Eaton Canyon, or an afternoon at Brookside Park is all you need for a perfect day.
Start a new book together. Let your little one pick. Give them the excitement of cracking open something brand new this weekend.
Get creative. Break out the Play-Doh, the crayons, or the craft supplies. Make something together. Frame it. Keep it forever.
Treat yourselves. It's a holiday — ice cream is absolutely mandatory.
Wishing every family in our South Euclid Shop community a safe, joyful, and meaningful Memorial Day. Thank you to all who served and to the families who have loved them. 🇺🇸
We'll see you back here soon — with more books, more learning, and more fun. 💛
